Extended Access
From 1st October, a new service is being introduced to provide appointments that will extend our opening times. This is being provided in collaboration with our Primary Care Network (PCN).
Across the PCN’s 4 surgeries (Bridgewater Surgeries, Garston Medical Centre, Baldwins Lane Surgery and New Road Surgery), routine appointments with a healthcare professional will be available until 8pm on Monday to Friday, and also from 9am to 5pm on Saturday.
Appointments will be available with GPs, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Clinical Pharmacists for routine care. Appointments will be available face-to-face and remotely depending on your preference.

How do I access this service?
These appointments are available through reception in the same way that a current appointment is. Just ask the receptionist if you would like to be seen in these times.
Don’t you already offer appointments in these times?
We do currently offer appointments after 6.30pm on Monday to Thursday, but currently these appointments aren’t always until 8pm. Opening at these times on Friday PM and Saturday will be additional. The number of appointments in these times will approximately double.
Can I contact the Surgery in these times for urgent matters?
Currently, this service is only available for routine pre-bookable appointments. For now, we will not be able offer urgent appointments, and you will be advised either to call back in the morning, or to call 111 if your problem is unable to wait.
