We operate a total triage system, meaning all requests are reviewed by a clinician to ensure you receive the most appropriate care as quickly as possible.
You can contact us by:
- submitting an Anima form
- calling the surgery on 01923 202600
- visiting the practice in person
All requests are assessed and prioritised based on clinical need.
If you would prefer to see a particular GP or nurse (for example, for continuity of care or personal preference), we will do our best to accommodate this. You may be offered the next available suitable appointment for that clinician.
If you need an appointment on a specific day (e.g. due to work commitments), please let us know and we will try to accommodate this where possible.
Urgent Appointments
All urgent requests are clinically triaged on the same day.
If your problem is urgent, we will:
- assess your request the same day, and
- offer a same-day appointment or appropriate care, where clinically required
You may be seen by a GP or another appropriately trained member of our clinical team, depending on your needs.
Where possible, we manage urgent cases earlier in the day to allow time for:-
- investigations
- treatment
- referrals if needed
If you contact us late in the day and it is not clinically safe to manage your problem within the time available, we may direct you to:-
- NHS 111
- an urgent care service
- A&E, if appropriate
Please note:-
- We are not a walk-in service
- In a life-threatening emergency (e.g. severe chest pain or difficulty breathing), call 999 immediately
- When we are closed, please contact NHS 111 for urgent (non-emergency) medical help
For non-urgent/routine problems
We will review your request and respond by the end of the next working day, you will be offered an appointment within a timeframe appropriate to your clinical need
Your care may begin with:-
- a telephone consultation, or
- an online consultation
If needed, you will be offered a face-to-face appointment.
Appointments are provided by a range of healthcare professionals, and you will be directed to the most appropriate clinician for your needs.
Consultations may take place by:-
- telephone
- video
- face-to-face
