Dr Clare Searle

Partner – MBChB FRCGP DCH, DGM, DRCOG, DFSRH, MSc Community Gynaecology and Reproductive Health Care

Bio

Having qualified from Leicester University in 1989 she moved to the GP vocational training scheme in Watford. Dr Searle has been a Partner since 1995. She enjoys the variety and continuity of care in General Practise with special interest in Women’s Health.

Dr Rachel Tudberry

Partner – MBBS, DRCOG, DCH, MRCGP, DFFP

Bio

Rachel Tudberry qualified in 1997 from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, London University and completed her General Practice training at Coach House Surgery in 2002. She was accredited as an associate GP trainer in 2007. Her special interests include mental illness and teaching trainee GPs. She works part time.

Dr Hannah Cowling

Partner – MB BS, MSc. MRCGP

Bio

Hannah Cowling qualified from Sheffield University in 1997. Following training in Watford she became a Partner in January 2002. Her special interests include Mental Health and Education and Training. She also has a role working with Health Education England within the GP School.

Dr Gowri Sankaran

Partner – MB BS, DRCOG, MRCGP, DFFP

Bio

Gowri Sankaran qualified as a doctor in Kerala, India and, on moving to England, she held several hospital posts in obstetrics and gynaecology, before commencing her GP training in Watford, completing her registrar period at Coach House Surgery in 2005. Since then she has worked as a salaried GP in Watford, rejoining Coach House Surgery in early 2007.

Dr Mandip Thiara

Partner – BSc (Hons), MBBS, MRCGP

Bio

Mandip Thiara qualified in 2008 from the University of East Anglia Medical School and worked as junior doctor in West London before joining the Watford VTS and Coach House as a registrar in 2012 where he completed his GP training. He now joins Coach House as a GP partner. His clinical interests include Paediatrics and general medicine.

Dr Nikesh Mehta

Partner – MBSS, MS (Surgery), MRCGP

Bio

Qualified from Pune University in 1999 (MB BS) and achieved Masters in Surgery from Bharati Vidyapeeth University -Pune in 2001. After 3 years in training at various government and private Sector hospitals he moved to the UK in 2002 and completed 3 years of vocational GP training at the Watford VTS to attain MRCGP before starting as a GP at the then Park End Surgery in 2007. Special interests in Minor Surgery, Dermatology and musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr Ketan Shah

Partner – MB BS, BSc, DRCOG, DFFP, MRCGP

Bio

Ketan qualified from University College London Medical School in 2003. He has worked and lived in the Watford area ever since, completing his vocational training in 2009 when he joined the practice as a Partner. His special interests include IT development and information governance within the practice in his role as Caldicott Guardian.

Dr Anne Anderson

Partner – MD, MRCGP, DCH, DRCOG, DFSRH

Bio

Anne qualified from Odense University, Denmark in 1999. She moved to the UK after meeting her husband (from Garston) and completed her GP specialist training in Watford. Dr Andersen has been a partner since 2010. She enjoys the variety and continuity of care in General Practise with special interests in Family Planning, Women’s Health and Paediatrics. Dr Anderson is fluent in Danish.

Dr Ariff Amin

Partner – MB BS FRCS MSPa

Bio

Dr Amin qualified in 1992 from India and trained in General and Colorectal surgery both in India and UK and gained Fellowship in Royal College of Surgery(FRCS). Worked as research registrar at Royal Free Hospital. Then, moved to General practice and completed his training in Norfolk. Joined Bridgewater Surgeries in 2015 and maintains his interest in minor surgery, musculoskeletal medicine with joint injections and respiratory diseases. Leads on research projects with Bridgewater surgeries being accredited to National Institute of Health and Research(NIHR).

Dr Monica Deb

Partner – MBchB, DFFP, MRCGP

Bio

Dr Monica Deb Qualified in 1999 from Sheffield University and completed her GP training at Luton and Harpenden in 2004. She joined Park End surgery in 2010 and her interests include training (teaching GP trainees and medical students), medicines management, women’s health and family planning

Dr Alex Carefull

Partner. BSc., MBBS(Lond), MRCGP

Bio

Alex qualified from Imperial College, London in 2002. After working in Accident and Emergency for 5 years, he joined the GP Training Scheme and completed this in 2010. Alex has been a Partner since 2014 and enjoys the variety of General Practice. He has interests in Mental Health, Musculoskeletal problems, Minor Surgery and Population Health.

Dr Inna Vardi-Flynn

Partner – MBBS, MRCGP, LOC IUD/IUS, LOC implants, DFSRH, DRCOG, PGcert MEDed

Bio

Inna qualified from the University Of East Anglia Medical school, Norwich in 2009, and then worked in Norfolk and Suffolk to complete her hospital training. Inna has attained a gynaecology fellowship and has a specialist interest in women’s health.

Dr Roshni Bhudia

Partner – MBBS, B.Sc., MRCGP (2014), DRCOG

Bio

Having qualified from Bart’s and The London School of Medicine in 2009 she joined the GP vocational training scheme in Watford and completed this in 2014. She became a partner in 2018 and is based at the Meriden Surgery. she enjoys the variety of continuity of care in General Practice.

Dr Gajan Idaikkadar

Bio

Dr Gaj trained as a GP in Watford at Bridgewater Surgeries and qualified in 2018. He works at the Meriden branch on Tuesdays and Fridays and the main branch on Mondays and Thursdays. He enjoys the wide variety that General Practice offers and has a particular interest in MSK issues.

Dr Gurdip Sahota

Bio

Dr Sahota qualified from King’s College London Medical School in 2000. Completed GP vocational training in West London, then worked as a salaried GP for several years in the same area. After moving to Hertfordshire, I worked as a long-term locum GP in South Bucks and Herts for several years whilst my children were young before joining Bridgewater Surgeries as a salaried GP in May 2020.

Dr Vanisha Madhav

Dr Madhav qualified from King’s College London School of Medicine in 2014 and completed her GP training in Watford at Bridgewater Surgeries where she was a registrar. She now works as a part-time salaried GP at both branches, and has a keen interest in general medicine as well as Dermatology

Dr Gracie Dowling-Mardon qualified from Cardiff University in 2015 and subsequently completed her GP training in Watford with Bridgewater Surgeries where she was a registrar at the Meriden branch. She now works as a part-time salaried GP at both Meriden and Bridgewater House branches

She continued to work regularly as a General Practitioner in north west London before joining Bridgewater Surgeries. She has a special interest in family planning and medical education.

Our Physicians Associates (PA)

Our Physician Associates (PA) are trained healthcare professionals who work under the supervision of a GP at all times, they have been trained to provide comprehensive medical care, including performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.

Our Physicians Associates are able to use their clinical knowledge to diagnose common illnesses such as respiratory infections, skin conditions and musculoskeletal injuries and based on their patient assessments work closely with their supervising GP to make a diagnosis and develop treatment plans.

You may be offered an appointment with a PA for Respiratory Infections, skin conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, urine infections, minor injuries.

Our Nurses and Nurse Associate

Nurse

Our nursing team are able to conduct initial patient assessments including contraceptive reviews and advice, cervical smears, they support our GPs with chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, asthma) and are able to monitor our patients conditions and provide education on self-management strategies, conduct regular check ups and help our patients achieve control of their conditions. They administer immunisations and vaccinations including childhood vaccinations and are skilled in providing wound care and dressing. Some of our nursing team are independent prescribers and are able to offer advice and support on the proper use of medication.

You may be offered an appointment with a Nurse for contraceptive advice/reviews, smear test, vaccinations including travel vaccinations, childhood immunisations, wound dressings, asthma/COPD reviews, diabetic reviews.

Nursing Associate

This is a relatively new role in health care, we currently have one trainee nursing associate, as part of her role she works under the supervision of a registered nurse or other healthcare professional and supports with health monitoring including vital signs and basic physical examinations, conducting routine health checks, ECG’s, spirometry, analysis, smears, wound care and dressings, vaccinations and immunisations. 

You may be offered an appointment with a Nursing Associate for blood tests, injections/vaccinations, stitch/staple removal, wound dressings, blood pressure readings/BP monitor fittings, ECG, NHS health checks, Diabetic health checks, Long term condition reviews, smears.

Our Health Care Assistants

Our HCA team are trained to take blood, record blood pressure readings, pulse rate, temperature and respiratory rates and assist with sample collections. They are able to carry out ECG’s and under the supervision of a healthcare professional such as a GP or Practice Nurse. Our team are also able to undertake wound dressing, suture/staple removal and administering injections or vaccinations.

You may be offered an appointment with a HCA for blood tests, injections/vaccinations, stitch/staple removal, wound dressings, blood pressure readings/BP monitor fittings, ECG, NHS health checks, Diabetic health checks, Long term condition reviews.

Our Pharmacists

Our in house team of pharmacists cover all aspects of your medication management, they are able to offer advice and support with your medication including proper administration, potential side effects and precautions. Our pharmacists work closely with our GP’s to make sure you get the best care, they support the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma, they are able to review your medication, monitor the effectiveness of your treatment and provide you with education and self-management strategies.

You may be offered an appointment with a Pharmacist for a long term condition review, blood pressure review, medication review, medication advice.
